Not sure what to say?

I just found out coach had passed away. He meant a lot to me when I played at Hueytown and I know I'm a better man now for it. Steve, I am sorry for your loss, I do know how you feel.

This man was so much loved by the citizens of West Blocton, and so was his wife Billie. He was a treasure not only on the football field, but just a great person too! Jonette McCool-Ross, West Blocton, AL

Mrs Higginbotham, Robert, Steve, and Frank..Just learned of the passing of coach Higginbotham. I am very sorry for the loss. It's always sad to loose a man that had so much influence on a community and so many young men. I'll always remember your family.

Robert, so sorry for your loss and please know the Hogewoods hold you in our thoughts & prayer. Monty

I am one of those 'young men' who learned to "keep on keeping on when you think you can't" from Coach. He touched so many lives. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us. My sincere condolences to Mrs. Higginbotham, Robert, Steve, and Frank.

A great man, an outstanding coach, from a great generation. I never knew him, but I played for Minor HS against Hueytown in the late 60's when Coach Higginbotham was at HHS. His teams were always very well coached and conditioned.

Robert and Lori,
I just heard of your father's passing. You will be in our prayers and thoughts.

The family of Coach Higginbotham is in our prayers & thoughts during this time. A man that touched the lives of many through the years, we, the alumni of Hueytown High School, say as one voice, "Thank you, Coach, for the mark you left on our community and school".
