Not sure what to say?

My father grew up with Mort Walker in the northeast sector of Kansas City, MO. In his later years we would drive my father around his old neighborhood and he never failed to point out Mort Walkers house. Sadly, my father passed away in May, 2018, also at age 94. RIP Mort Walker.

Neal, We are very sorry to learn of Mort's passing. He left behind a tremendous legacy which has been, and will be, enjoyed my millions. Our deepest condolences to you and your family.

I loved Mort. I grew up on Beetle Bailey and the funnies. Years later, he became a model to our son, an amateur cartoonist and lover of "Mr. Walker's Work." Then, several years later, as a museum consultant I received a call from Mort and Katherine, asking me to work on the International Museum of Cartoon Art in Boca Raton and later in New York City. He was a man of deep passion and intelligence, a great talent, visionary and collector (what a collection)--with a zest for life...

May his light continue to shine.

Greg and Brian; Your Dad made a worldwide great impression on the "comics" I got to know him as he was bringing you both to Cub Scout Pack 7 meetings He was a wonderful supporter of the entire family and Scouting! He will always be famous to those that enjoy the "funnies". From your old Cubmaster!
