Not sure what to say?

Mort was the historian for the 99th, and got his well deserved nickname "tuffy" due to his combat leadership of his platoon in A company. Mort was a good friend, and one of the great gentlement of the greatest generation. Mort, I will miss you. Bill H

Uncle Mort was a man's man. I remember him always in good cheer and so much "the teacher". He had the Tuftedal sense of humor, a quick wit, and easily commanded the respect and attention he deserved. He was a true patriot and a great role model. You rubbed off on many Uncle, I'll miss you!

Mort was well-respected by his many acquaintances at CNA Insurance, including a number of my acquaintances and myself (of Scandinavian ancestry).

Humanity has lost a great person. Mort was the epitome of high standards, morals and ethics. He taught me respect and safety for firearms, and his instruction was second to none. This country has lost a great veteran, as he such much covert action in WWII. I will truly miss our Saturday meetings at "The Range".

Mort was a wonderful man and as reliable as they come. I'll always remember him for his wit and even-tempered nature, as well as his love for his family. He had the patience of a saint and most of us will never know the things he saw in WW II while serving our country. Rest in peace my friend. You will be missed.
