Not sure what to say?

I'm sure Mort is in Heaven looking down on his special family and sending love and happiness. RIP MTC.

I am so honored to be reminded and included in the wonderful memories of your Dad today. Although it's been a while since I left my Dad's business of Western Mass. Supply, Inc., in 1980, there hasn't been a time since when I either read about Great Barrington or hear about Great Barrington that I don't smile at all the memories I have of you guys from a very young age and your Mom and Dad. To the Cavanaugh Family,

First off, my apologies for my lack of timeliness with this note. I really have no excuse other than it has taken me a week to get my head around the fact that Chief Cavanaugh really is no longer with us.

To the Cavanaugh Family, so sorry for your loss. He was one of the best for GB.

Tim, Tom, Jim, Lauren and Kim we are so sad to hear of Mort's passing. He was a pillar to so many and a friend to everyone. It was an honor and privelage to serve under his command on the GBFD department and I will be forever greatful for that. He was a true Hometown Hero. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families during this time of sorrow.

To the Cavanaugh family - Mort was a beloved and respected member of this community and will be missed by all. Thank you for sharing him with us.
