Not sure what to say?

Mr. and Mrs. Herrick lived across the hall from my parents at Imperial Plaza. It was a delight to me that my parents had the companionship of two such wonderful and kindred spirits. I remember the Herricks with great fondness, and am grateful for the moments I spent with them. I'm also most grateful to have found a friend in Judy, with whom I've shared many great conversations. Judy, you and Lou-Bette have my deepest sympathy in your loss.

So sad to hear of Mort's passing. Although I didn't know him well when I was younger, he and Dorothy Dorothy attended many Wright family Christmas gatherings in Richmond, as Dorothy was a Wright cousin.
I later, after Dorothy's death, spoke with Mort on several ocassions. I found him to be a man of amazing talent and knowledge. Yet, he had lost the love of his life and always mentioned how much he missed her.
Many will miss Mort, as they have missed Dorothy.

I am a friend of Mr. Herrick's daughter, Lou Bette, and am saddened to hear of the passing of someone who obviously lived life with a lot of gusto. I'm grateful to him for giving me my beloved friend, who remains one of my favorite people in the world. I met Lou Bette in Venezuela, where we connected as ex-patriots exploring a Lost World.

Dear Lou-Bette and Judy and Family, Mort will be missed by so many of us who loved him for his kind ways and care for humanity. He and Dorothy were a beautiful example of a true Unitarian married couple. Love, Lois Hastings.

My sincere sympathy at this sad event. I am so grateful to have met your father and to know how important he was to the church.

My first encounter with Mort was as the voice of poetry on WRFK. I always enjoyed his readings. A few years later, when I joined First Unitarian Church, I was so impressed to finally meet THE Mort Herrick.

Mort was loved by everyone at First Unitarian Universalist Church and will be missed.

I was saddened to understand the passing of Mr. Herrick. I have had the distinct privilege and honor of having known this extraordinary man and have always been amazed by the depth and breadth of his many talents and knowledge. To Lou-bette and Judy, I wish to convey my sincerest and dearest regards to you both at this time.
