My condolences to the family. As young parents of 3 small boys Dr. katz was our family doctor in Swift Current, Sask. in the 50's. I will always remember him as a dedicated doctor with a good sense of humor. Often thought of him and was very fortunate to have the interesting facts about his life after he left for Ottawa.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. My mother came across this information during an internet search. Dr. Katz delivered me on August 15, 1955. He was our family Dr. in Swift Current Saskatchewan at that time. To this day my 89 year old mother often says I became a musician because I was delivered by one.

There is still not a day that passes where I do not wonder what you would think of this or that, or wanting to share the wonderful accomplishments of the girls. I miss you. Your support, your laugh, your teasing and most of all your hugs. You always treated me as your own. With love support and respect. Most of all, even in my darkest hours you believed in me and loved me. You were and always will be the most amazing dad in my life, and the most loving Zaide to the girls. We were so blessed...

As time passes, I and many of my patients recognise the great contribution Mortimer made in the lives and health of those he served. He was truly a remarkable physician and a man who is greatly missed. His many talents, generosity and humour continue to be admired and the world is diminished by his passing.

I miss you dad. Every day I think about you and want to pick up the phone and hear your voice giving me advice and guiding me with wisdom. Most of all hearing you say I love you three! Well I love you four!!! Xo

I was so sorry to hear of Dr. Katz' passing. He saved my life 60 years ago, and I've been grateful to him for every one of those 60 years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
