Dear Family of MEBy,

I studied with him at Bryn Mawr as I earned my PHD (abd) there during the 1960's. My entire life has been so positively impacted by the strength of his brain. I brought both of my children up utilizing "achmo" achievement motivation..and they both are changing the world for the better. Thank you!

Dear Mary,

Your loss is so deeply sad. There are never adequate words to express feelings in this dark time. Just know that those who know you and care deeply for you are mourning your loss with you. May peace and love be with you. My deep condolences to you and your family. Maynard

Dearest Mary: I was so saddened when Sumi gave me the news of Jeff's passing. I remember so well the trips I helped you plan. His was life well lived and his contributions will not be forgotten. Aloha, Elaine Ohlson

Dear Mary, Condolence is a cold word, well meant, but not as warm as love,
with all it's attributes, the fire, the warmth, the embers and the blaze within that kindle memories through generations. We humbly offer each at this parting time. Agape. Pamela and Romain Nelsen

I can't express how sad I am over learning of Dr. Bitterman's passing. He shaped my academic and professional life in so many ways. My heart goes out to your family.

Dear Mary and Bitterman Family, It was my honor and privilege to care for so great a man. All my aloha to you and your family. Kristine Lee

Dear Mary Gayle -- what a beautiful life Jeff must have had, and what special memories you must have after walking the path with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
