Not sure what to say?

Ronna, my mom, Selma Ryave, has enjoyed ushering with you and has mentioned you so many times (all good). I'm so sorry for your loss. May your loss be tempered in time with the loving memories of the good times you shared with your father and mother.

I thank all of you who have taken the time to send your sympathy to me during this very painful period in my life. As you have noted, Dad was a special man, a dedicated optometrist, and an amazing father. I am grateful that I could care for him as he did for me; I am honored that he considered me his best friend.

Warmly,
Ronna L. Edelstein

I regret that I did not see this notice before learning of it from Ronna. Her countless friends and admirers sent their heartfelt condolences to her at this sad hour. She and her father were fortunate to have enjoyed a rare love and devotion which shall never die. God bless you, friend!

I was so sorry to learn about Morton's passing. I know how dear he was to Ronna, with whom I attended school at Sunnyside, Morningside, and Peabody. My condolences go out to the family. His advanced age gave you, I am sure, many loving memories to help fill the hole in your hearts. Much love, Ricki Shore

Mort and I became very good friends when he volunteered at Shadyside Hospital. We had many long conversations on every topic. His common sense, warmth, and sense of humor were truly special. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

Sorry to read of your father's passing. He was always a pleasure to talk with. I will keep him in my prayers.

He's taking care of the eyes in heaven. I'll miss him.
