Read MoreI just heard of Mort’s passing. My deepest sympathy to Janet and family. Mort was such an intelligent man and he visited our Board of Education office many times. He always made us laugh, especially on St Patrick’s Day,
when he would joke with his Irish friend, Bob Kelley. His professionalism, kindness and humor were beautiful traits. God bless him.

I first met Mr. Elenbogen at the Chicago Board of Education as I
was a new teadher. I remember well how totally helpful -like a long time friend- he was
in assisting me in my inquiry. I was a teacher at the time at Niles
North High School and his daughter, Janet Elenbogen was a member of the orchestra. You have my prayers for this outstanding
gentleman.
