Not sure what to say?

Jan,
Thanks for posting about Dad. It is hard to believe so many years have gone by. He is much missed.
Michelle

Happy Birthday Dad. You would have been 81 now. I miss you every day. I feel you watching over me. Rest in peace. I love you.

Hi,
It has been a very long time now since Mort died, but I just found out now. He was a great man. I walked into his studio on Taylor Street in the early seventies sometime, looking to apprentice, holding my portfolio in arm. i remember him looking at it, talking with his then wife, Marianna, and taking me on as an apprentice doing all the color processing work. I learned so much and mostly now just appreciate the fun, the caring, the sense of family. Gratitude to you Mort..may you...

I know this is the one year anniversary and just want to pay tribute to a crazy wonderful man who indeed changed my life back in 1974.

Carl,
Thank you so much for adding your memories of Dad's photographic career and his impact on your own over the years. You were definitely a part of the family and one of the names of my childhood, along with Willie and Aggie and Ginger (with whom I visited recently in Knoxville where she now lives) and all the others you mentioned.

Thanks for sharing your relationship with and memories of Mort.

Michelle

CARL

I would like to add my thoughts to what has already been shared.

Mort did so much for so many people during his life and I witnessed some of it while being at Paramount Studios. And he did it without any fanfare or chest pounding. I first met Mort when he had a studio on Main Street in Springfield. I was looking for a starting point in photography and he took me in under his wing. I was experienced in wedding photography but nothing like I was going to become exposed to working...

Back in the late '70's and early '80's Sam Gracy leased us his Cessna 150. Mort and Sam were close buddies. I was a Flight School owner in need of a better way to make a living and Mort was such a terrific support for possibility and opportunity. Mort helped me obtain further flight training and became a real good friend who stayed in touch to the end. It is a Honor to have been a friend.

Michelle, Maureen, Marianna, and Mort's family, my thoughts and wishes are with you as are the fondest of memories from ol' East Longmeadow.

Any one remember this?
