I also have a sketch signed by Mr. Hyman. I was eight. I love this sketch. Sorry for your loss.

Mr. Hyman drew a sketch of me in 1966 at the Roosevelt Field Mall.
My charcoal sketch looks like it was drawn yesterday! My condolences to his family. A gentle person... that’s why I asked him to sketch me.

Dear Chris,
I am Ira and Bunny Cohen's daughter, Amy Cohen. Your husband was an exceptional friend to my parents and to Beth Israel. May his memory be a blessing.

I have been thinking of Mort these past few weeks, and am stunned to learn just now of his passing.
We grew up together on the Upper West Side, we were in the same kindergarten class, and we saw each other often during college days. Since then, only a few meetings over the years.
He was a wonderful human being, and a beloved person in my life.
