MORTON KELLER

Dr. Keller was the single reason I majored in History at the University of Pennsylvania. He was my adviser in 1960. I was clueless as to my major, but he carved out a most wonderful pathway for me, a direction that curried an interest that dwells deep inside me to this very day. The country needs many more Morton Kellers.

Condolences to the Keller family. Dr Keller was my graduate seminar professor at Penn in 1962. He was a young, exciting and encouraging professor who was much admired by his students.

I am stunned and saddened By the thought of the world without Mickey Keller With his incredible wit, infectious laugh & deep and incisive intellect. I am sure Phillis and his children & wonderful grandchildren will be missing him this season and for years to come.... Alas, let us be of good cheer to remember all that he brought to life, all that he gathered in Cambridge & Cape Cod to give friends and fans a sense of eager anticipation.

Sidney and Cynthia Verba are so saddened by Mickey's death; he truly will be missed as a friend and especially for Sid over many years in their regular poker game. His energy and zeal were present for as long as we knew him; we would never have guessed that he was close to the end. We will always think of Phyllis when we think of Mickey; there were a great team.

Dr. Morton Keller was my history professor at University of Pennsylvania. I still remember his lectures. He was a great teaher and person. Dr. George A. Crispin

I'm very sorry to learn of Mickey's death. Like so many of his graduate students, I was profoundly influenced by him during my years at Brandeis and through the decades thereafter. His was a lasting legacy. I will miss his friendship, his wit, and his understanding. My sympathies to Phyllis and all the Keller children and grandchildren.
