Pam,

I'm late in hearing the news, but I wanted you to know that I am sorry to hear of Mort's passing. I have known few others with Mort's passion for living and his zest for life. My life is better for having known him over the last few years. You and your family are my family's thoughts and prayers.

Jill,

I have been pondering what to write, how to offer you deep sympathy for the loss of your father. Death is so final and I know your dad had a great influence upon your life...of you being the focused, successful, caring person you are today and that I met in New Haven years ago. My whole family is here for you and Barney, Maddie, Zach and Alex. May 2014 bring you all peace and happiness.

Dear Jill,

Know that we are holding you and your family in the light during this passage, and time of letting go...

I can't believe I stumbled upon this today, I was friends with Morton Jr. at American University in the late 1980's, but we have not been in touch since then. Please accept my condolences at this sad news.

Pam, So very sorry for your loss. Lorraine & I sincerely wish we would have spent more time together with you & Mort. God Bless. Bob Astarita Sr.
