Mort was my uncle and best friend. He was an inspiration to me. He gave me my first Bob Dylan album, he taught me to see color and light, to appreciate art, theater, and good pasta. He looked, listened, and loved deeply. I will always miss him.

I was never as close as I wished I had been with my great uncle Mort. I had many great memories of him, and will miss him dearly. Rest in peace.
