Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mort Silverman, I knew him as classmate, fraternity brother (Gamma Omega Phi), friend and outstatnding Optometrist. He made this world a better place.

Dear Barbara,

I know from our friendship the past 10 years Barbara, Mort, Rene and Norman Levine.

Mort was a very special, intelligent interesting person, everyone loved and enjoyed being with.

You, Barbara the most gracious hostess at your beautiful home or Mort's 80th Birthday party at the Club.
Nothing that is loved is ever lost.

Barbara I am sorry I was not able to be with you at the end. I heard everything was prepared with special caring, elegance and...

Dr. Mort Silverman was always compassionate about every task that he undertook. This was so clearly reflected in his passion for public health optometry. We will all miss him dearly.

I was Dr. S's patient in the late 1950s and 60s. I was one of the few who could not wear contact lenses because I didn't have some sort of necessary ridge in my eye. He was determined to fit me, and did so with an experimental tiny German lens after numerous fittings and even a special trip to a doctor in Boston. And he didn't charge any more for all that extra time and work. I always loved my appointments with him; he was witty, wise and fun, and he encouraged my love of writing. I hope in...

Dr. Silverman's passion for public health optometry will be missed.

Dr. Silverman was a great professor and a genuinely great guy. His stories and advice will live on for a long time. He will be missed and remembered.

Dear Barbra,
Cousin Morty was an only child gowing up during the depression. He was influenced by his dad,Sam, an emigrant hard working peddler of fruit & vegitables, who was well read, a temple gabai, and always happy to share a laugh with others..
Morty was a positively driven professional ,overcoming many tragdies ,yet able to laugh at a good joke. I know Morty was a loving husband and a loving father.
I will miss his wisdom, smile and pleasant laughter.

To the Morton Family, I was a patient of Mortons for many years. He was a wonderful man and exceptional Doctor!!! Thoughts and prayers at this time.

DEAR BARBARA:

PLEASE ACCEPT OUR CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF YOUR HUSBAND, MORT. WE MISS YOU AND HOPE YOU WILL VISIT ST LOUIS AND DANCE WITH US AGAIN.
