I had the pleasure of working for Mort at Fuji Bank. I was a nervous young girl fresh out of School and he believed in me. He was a sweet kind man and I thank him for the exposure to the financial industry I was fortunate to have from Mort. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am deeply shocked to hear this tragic news. I knew Mort as a gentle kind human being who had an eye for beauty. That is how we met. I am a sculptor, living in France, and had the good fortune to meet mort during a trip to the US. I spoke no english, but he took me under his wing, and looked after me during my stay.
I will never forget him.

My first interview on Wall Street was 40 years ago with Morty, a moment I'll never forget. He was very nice to me during the interview but didn't give me the time of day until I began producing business for him. From Morty I learned the professionalism that generated a wonderful career for me. He taught me to just concentrate, work hard and success will come. Of all the people that I worked with in 30 years, he was my favorite. He had a wonderful life and I wish his family all the best.
