MCCLENDON, Mr. Moses C. Sr., of Richmond, departed this life March 3, 2013. He was the 26th international president of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated. He retired from Lucent Technologies, formerly AT&T, after 29 years as an inorganic chemist and manager. He is survived by his wife, Grace McClendon; two daughters, Chantelle and Michelle McClendon; one son, Moses McClendon II; two grandsons, Domenick Tillman and Moses McClendon III; two brothers, Eugene and James McClendon; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Y. McClendon; two sisters-in-law, Mary and Mary McClendon; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Third Street Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 614 N. Third Street, where there will be an Omega Service at 10 a.m. Rev. Godfrey Patterson, pastor, officiating and eulogist. Rev. Rodger Hall Reed, eulogist. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.jenkinsjr.com.
