moses passed away in May 2017. moses was a resident of Virginia. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am on Friday May 19 2017 at Sweet Haven Holy Church of God Carrollton Va. Viewing will be from 4-7pm on Thursday May 18 2017 at Shivers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans cemetery Suffolk Va. Professional services entrusted to Shivers Funeral Chapel.
A loving father is quintessential to a loving family. I too enjoyed hearing stories about Mr. Mercer. Lisa, you are an extremely loving & supportive daughter. I pray you & your family are comforted by memories, traditions and his legacy. May God provide you and your family strength during this time of loss.

Even though I did not personally know Mr. Mercer, I knew of him through the great memories told by his daughter, Lisa Mercer. Listening to her stories let me know that he was a loving father, good provider and excellent protector. My prayer is the family will continue to find comfort in the memories of him that he has left behind.
