Moses graduated from John Glen High School in Westland Mi in 1969. He met his wife Connie at Prayer Baptist Church in Westland Michigan the same year.  After only 3 months of dating, Moses married Connie on December 6th 1969 and had 5 children, Moses Jr. (Lisa) Sears, Deanna (Lance) Johnson, Matthew (Brenda) Sears, David (the Late Fawn) Sears and Dawn (Berlon) Watson.

Loving Grandfather of Kaitlyn (Zach) Koslowsky, Michael Sears, Julia Sears, Joshua Sears, Harmony Sears, Danielle Watson and Samantha Watson. Great Grandfather of Liam Koslowsky, Scarlett Sears and Scout Koslowsky.

Moses had 11 siblings, Leroy (Tammy) Felan, Vicki Macias, Virginia Bernier, Antonia (Rick) Gaspard, Rebecca Boykin, John DeLaCruz, Bruce DeLaCruz, Joe DeLaCruz, James (Michele) DeLaCruz, The Late Valerie (Tom) Moore. Sister-in-law Barbara and The Late David Sears.

Moses worked for McKinley Oil as a Transport Driver for over 20 years before retiring.  His hobbies were model cars and planes. He also enjoyed going to Air Shows and watching the Fighter Jets going across the sky.  His favorite foods were Mexican and Chinese. His favorite restaurant was Angelina’s Mexican Kitchen.

While supporting his wife, Connie and their 5 children, Moses made time to take his family on vacation. He drove his family to San Antonio to see his family for many years. This was his way of spending personal time with the family.

While raising his 5 children, Moses made sure they went to church every Sunday and were taught the Word of God.  The MOST important accomplishment Moses Achieved was knowing that all 5 children accepted Jesus Christ as their Person Savior.

Visitation for Moses will be Saturday, May 31st, 10am until time of the Service at 12:00pm. Services will be at Beacon Baptist Church, located at 21721 Northline Rd. Taylor Mi.

Praying for the family in this loss. I have many memories of Moses, Connie and the family since I grew up at New Hope Missionary Baptist church and visited many times in years since. He was such a sweet, friendly and Godly man and seemed to love his family very much. Love in Jesus, Sheri (Hille) Castleman
