Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Sweet Hope Cemetery for Mr. Steve Ellis, age 66, of Moselle. Mr. Ellis went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 26, 2026. Bro. Steve Ellis will officiate with the burial to follow the service.

Steve was born on January 30, 1960, to Willie B., Jr. and Christine Carr Ellis in Collins, MS. He worked for Ellis Truck and Equipment Sales for 25 years before retiring. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, especially playing badminton and cards. He loved to travel and go antiquing. He attended Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James Ellis and Willie B. “Mann” Ellis.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ernie Ellis of Moselle; children, Amy (Brandon) Crosby of Purvis, Olivia (Zak) Russell of Laurel, Jason (Ellen) Ellis of Pearl and Tracy (Kenny) Barnes of Sumrall; grandchildren, Bella, Sydney, Berkley, Macy, Baker, Danielle and Hayden; sister, Debbie (Randy) Yawn and brother, Don (Pat) Ellis.
