Brother Timothy Turkvant answered the call of the almighty God on Wednesday, June 20, 2024.


Timothy was born on March 31, 1963 in Harleyville, SC.  He was the son of the late Miss Louise Smalls and late Mr. James Lewis Turkvant.


At an early age, he joined Elem Missionary Baptist Church.


He graduated from Harleyville-Ridgeville High School in 1981. He also graduated from SC State university in 1988 with a degree in Agribusiness.


He worked for Industry Services Refractory and Chemical Lining where he was a Lead Supervisor. 


He was a member of Pride of Ridgeville # 178 Ridgeville, SC Masonic Lodge.


He was united in holy wedlock to Wanda Pittman-Turkvant. To this union two children were born: Jordan and Jaylann Turkvant. 


His parents (James & Louise Smalls) and wife, Wanda preceded him in death. 


He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Jordan (Breneshia) and Jaylann Turkvant of Orangeburg, SC; his brothers, James B. (Renesae) Turkvant, of Douglasville, GA, and Lorenzo (Bernice) Turkvant of Harleyville, SC; his sister Sarah Ann Simmons of Harleyville, SC; his aunts, Lillie Ruth Spears of Syracuse, NY, Barbara Ratliff of Long Island, NY, Mary (Howard) Primus of St. George, SC and Louellen Smalls of Harleyville, SC; his uncles, Johnny (Vernell) Smalls of Holly Hill, SC,  Matthew (Charlotte Ann) Smalls of Manning, SC and Thomas Smalls of Harleyville,SC. his grandchildren, Harmony Davis, Jaliyah Turkvant and Jynai Turkvant of Orangeburg, SC and his devoted caretaker, Lashiaquanna Edwards of Bowman, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


 


 


 


The family will be receiving friends at the home of his brother, Mr. Lorenzo Turkvant, 176 Second Bend Rd., Harleyville, SC from 3:00 P.M - 9:00 P.M.
