Winnfield Memorial Funeral Home - Natchitoches Obituary

Life Celebration service will go forth at the Morning Star Baptist Church of Natchez, La. Saturday, September 30, 2023, 11:00 a. m.  The casketed remains will lie in state for public visitation Saturday morning from 10:00 a. m. to service time.  Burial will follow in the church's cemetery.


 


THE FAMILY IS REQUESTING THAT NO PHOTOGRAPHS BE TAKEN OF THEIR LOVED ONE CASKETED AT THE FUNERAL HOME OR AT THE SERVICE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GRACIOUS COOPERATION.


 


Bro. Benny Ray Braxton Sr. entered into eternal life Wednesday September 20* 2023, at Rapides Regional Medical Center at the age of 77.


He was born March 3, 1946 to Lloyd Braxton Sr. and Lillie Mae Franklin Braxton, both preceded him in death. He married Dorothy Williams whom also preceded him in death. In this union they had three children.


He confessed Christ and was united with Morning Star Baptist Church where he faithfully worshipped until his health failed.


Bro. Benny was a very kind, loving and gentle man. He loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. As a 1965 graduate from St. Matthew High School and a retired foreman from Trust Joist. He often enjoyed Tennis, Fishing, News, Politics and he also loved Singing.


Also preceding him in death were two brothers Louis Charles Braxton and Earl Braxton, three sisters Fannie Lucille Davis, Rebecca Braxton Demas and Mary Braxton.


His spirit is carried on by his loving and devoted children, two daughters, Bridget Ann Braxton (Frisco, Tx), Millisa Braxton Davis (Natchitoches, La.). One son Benny Ray Braxton Jr.


(Natchitoches, La.). Six grandchildren, Sharena Braxton, Jasmine K. Davis, JuLiyah C. Davis, Latavia Rhodes, Kaveon Braxton, McKenzie Williams. Three great grandchildren, Sha'Miah Braxton, Zay'Vien Henderson, Jayce Ja'Mal Chapman.


Four sisters, Victoria Braxton, Eliza Winters (Andrew) of Houston TX.. Linda Fay Robinson (Leroy), Betty Joe Braxton Johnson (late Joseph). One brother, Lloyd Braxton Jr., of Forth Worth Tx., and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
