Mr. Daniel Latrell Grimes

Its still hard to imagine the loss of your son, the loss of your brother. just like its still hard to imagine my son, Joey, being gone. i still remember when we were neighbors and our kids played and socialized with each other. we both loss our sons to an early age. its still very hard for me and i know its still painful for you too. just know that your son is always in your heart. he is with you when you least expect it. just like my Joey is with me always.

Daniel. I can’t wrap my mind around this yet. I keep thinking about how I should have reached out a couple weeks ago. I never even got to see your full face. Something we often joked about at work. My prayers are with your family. I promise I won’t ever forget you.

I only got to work with you for a short time, but I did appreciate everything that you helped me with. You were a gentle soul, and you will be missed by lots, dearly.

We may not have been close friends, but I always saw you smiling and willing to help others in class when we were at Union Grove and Harker Heights High School and that alone shows the genuine kind of person you are. May you rest in paradise Daniel.

From middle school up Daniel was always a sweethearted individual, in class, on the football team together, and in life. My heart goes out to the entire family. Blessings and healing to you all.
