Not sure what to say?

To the Pope Family:

It does not seem that long ago that our beloved David left us to be with your Maker. But I want you all to know that he has truly been missed.

I have nominated David to go into the NSU Athletics Hall of Fame, posthumously, which is scheduled for September, 2019. His credentials are so outstanding that he should go in this time, since we haven't had one in 9 years. I'm sure he's smiling down from heaven as I am smiling and delighted to nominate...

I miss you Uncle Bookey!!! Love and miss you sooooo much.

Miss you much!! Buck

Just now hearing about Buckeye. I'm blown away by the news. My condolences!! Even though I was a little younger than Buck(I grew up with Chris, Tony and Mike, I still remember his demeanor... He was a cool cat.. Always! May God continue to bless the pope family.

Just short off words . I got online today to find how I could contact you and just dumb founded . What a true gentleman. I met David about some 8 years ago true a friend and whenever I needed help with my AC unit he would come help me out . I got online today to look you up because I had changed phones and see if you could charge up my AC unit for me. What a loss . You will be missed . I'm in shock so is my wife . Mrs P my condolences the man up there knows it all . Pope you will be missed ....

My thoughts and prayers to the Pope Family. David was always a worthy high school adversary on the basketball court that made everyone around him better players and even better human beings. Jimmy Mays-Denbigh High School 1980

To the Pope Family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy in Pope's passing. I am at a total loss for words. We worked together at the Cypress Swimming Pool in Suffolk for Parks and Rec. Never once did he mention his professional basketball days. There was a group of us who were just good old buddies enjoying the children at the pool. He was quiet and always had a smile on his face. I pray that God will comfort your hearts in knowing that he is now out of pain and discomfort.

My condolences to the family I have many memories continue his legacy. Mrs P got him now stay strong and together like always God Bless Y'all
