Mr. Dontavis Montreal Yowe of 821 Pateville Height Court, Cordele, Georgia died  Friday, July 2, 2021 at the Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry, Georgia.


The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the J. W. Williams Funeral Home Porte Cochere in Cordele, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Bethel Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.


Dontavis Montreal Yowe began his earthly journey on July 8, 1985  in Cordele, Crisp County, Georgia.  He was welcomed to this world by his parents, Ms. Pamela Yowe and Mr. Craig Jackson, Sr.


Dontavis was enrolled in the public schools of Crisp County where  he followed the courses of study for each school within the system.  He proudly graduated from Crisp County High School in 2004.  While in high school he was a manager for Cougar Basketball Team.  Even after graduation he was a great supporter of the Cougars.


For a short period of time, Dontavius served as an Usher at the Cross Road Baptist Church.


He enjoyed drawing, music  and watching television.  He was true Braves fan, having developed a love for baseball while playing for the Crisp County Recreational White Sox.  Dontavis loved laughing, walking, and being around famil and friends most of all.


From 2010 - 2016 he attended Innovative Senior Solutions.  In 2017, he moved into the residential home, The ARC of Macon.  He enjoyed the fellowship and the many wonderful experiences he was afforded until this year when his health failed.


On Friday, July 2, 2021, his earthly journey came to a peaceful end. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mrs. Carol Brown Yowe and Mr. Benjamin Yowe; his maternal great grandparents, Mr. Isreal and Mrs. Betty Brown and his paternal great grandparents, Mr. Otis and Mrs. Charlotte  Yowe.


His life will lovingly be remembered by his parents, Ms. Pamela Yowe (Jamion Trice) and Mr. Craig Jackson, Sr. (Shelia Smith) of Cordele, Georgia; his brothers, Mr. Craig Jackson, Jr. and Mr. DeQuante Jackson of Cordele, Georgia; his grandparents, Ms. Jerry Jackson and Mr. James & Mrs. Lucy Trice of Cordele, Georgia; his aunts and uncles, Ms. Stephanie Yowe (Avery), Mr. Kelvin Solomon, and Ms. Chiquita Mapp of Cordele, Georgia, and Mr. Maurice Yowe (Keshia) of Atlanta, Georgia; his great aunts and uncles, Mrs. Evelyn (John) Wiggins, Ms. Charlotte Yowe, Mr. Banjamin Yowe, and Mr. Andrew Yowe of Cordele, Georgia, and Ms. Geraldine Brown of Warner Robins, Georgia; several great, great aunts and uncles; his nieces and nephews, Camden Jackson, Jordyn Jackson, Harmoni Jackson, and Chayce Jackson of Cordele, Georgia, Kallie Jackson of Warner Robins, Georgia, Ja’sani Jackson, Jakasey   Jackson, and Logan Jackson of Cordele, Georgia, Melanie Jackson of Warner Robins, Georgia, and DeQuante Jackson, Jr. of Cordele, Georgia; his cousins, Trav, Grant, KKay, MJ, K|J, Bug, KD, Khori, J-Roc, Aijah, Karmyn, Lilah, Ren, RJ, Yellow, and Khamani; two sisters-in-law; a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include his caregivers, Tiwana Washington and Marlon Smith.

My condolences to the Yowe family at this time. I met Dontavius at Innovative Senior Solutions and he was such a joy to be around. He had a real talent in drawing and loved to listen to music. He is now in peace and will forever be in our hearts.
