Wilhelmina Jefferson Rogers, the daughter of the late Ms. Anna Oliver and reared by the late Mr. Peter and Mrs. Lena Washington Butler Jefferson, was born on October 27, 1927 in Eutawville, South Carolina and reared in Cross, South Carolina.
She graduated from Burke High School in Charleston, SC on June 1, 1945. She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age at Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Eadytown, South Carolina. She later joined Bethel United Methodist Church, which is now Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church.
Wilhelmina was united in holy matrimony to George W. Rogers on February 13, 1953. He proceeded her in death on March 17, 2007. This union was blessed with five children.
Together they established G.W. Rogers Grocery in 1955. She operated the store for 25 years. This store was affectionately known in the Eadytown community as “Ms. Flossie’s Store.” The store favorites were “two for a penny cookies” and Crown bologna. She enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, fishing and baking. Wilhelmina was loved and cherished by so many, just as she loved and cared for everyone around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and siblings: Jervey Butler, Sam Butler, Ella B. Waring, Leola B. Burton, Samuel Jefferson, Victoria Washington, Benjamin Mazyck, Elizabeth Gaillard, Lillie J. Shine, Joseph Butler and Anna Lee Oliver.

To: Theresa, Cassandra, Leveta, Ethel, Terry & the entire Family:
To God be the glory for the time He has gifted your Mom to you and your entire family. May you find comfort, peace, joy and strength as our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth eases your pain and draw nigh.
“And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which He hath sent Me, that of all which he hath given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”...
