Mrs. Willie Mae Bryant

Graveside services for Mrs. Willie Mae Bryant, 436 Lexington Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, 12:00 Noon, at the Target/Bethel Cemetery, Target Road, Holly Hill, South Carolina. The Reverend Esau Clark will officiate.

A Time to be Born
Willie Mae Bryant, affectionately known as "Sis" was born in Holly Hill, South Carolina, the second eldest daughter of the late Willie and Rosa Lee Bryant, on March 3, 1949.

A Time to Die
Willie Mae departed this life on April 9, 2014 in Woodhull Hospital Medical Center.

A Time to Love
Willie Mae was raised in a Christian home. As a child, she was a member of the Target African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Holly Hill, South Carolina.  Willie Mae was a loving and caring person.  She was always willing to help anyone she could.  She was a quiet and gentle person, always well dressed, and she made the best Banana Pudding.

A Time to Weep
She was raised with four brothers and three sisters.  Five preceded her in death:  Bill, Henry, Nathaniel, Irvin and one sister, Dorothy.

A Time to Get
Willie Mae attended Roberts High School in Holly Hill, South Carolina.  She moved to Brooklyn, New York and found employment at Blyer Factory and later became a Home Health Aide for the past twelve years.

A Time to Mourn
She leaves to cherish her loving memories:  two sons: James Bryant, of Aiken, South Carolina and Frederick Bryant, of Brooklyn, New York; six grandchildren, James Bryant, Jr., of Washington, DC, Daishanae, Kalisha, Shakura, of Brooklyn, New York, Quincy, Jamila, of Aiken, South Carolina; one brother, Emmanuel Bryant (Peggy), of Baltimore, Maryland; two sisters, Catherine Singleton (Johnnie), of Holly Hill, South Carolina and Mary Bryant; three aunts, Floradell Johnson, Eartha  Lee White, of Holly Hill, South Carolina, Eliza Cummings, of Brooklyn, New York; her companion, Karim Rahim, of Brooklyn, New York and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and many friends.
