Wilson Funeral Home - Tampa Obituary

     Ms. Margaret Williams O’Neal, a retired office assistant and home health aide passed on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. A home going celebration service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Re-Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 1924 E. Comanche Avenue, Tampa, Florida with Pastor George Phillips, Officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.


     She was born to the parentage of Bennie Sr. and Fair Belle “Pinkie” Williams in Ft Gaines, GA. She was raised in Tampa and attended local schools. Margaret was a graduate of Middleton High School Class of 1969. She was a charter and very active lifetime member of Middleton Alumni Association and was presently serving as Parliamentarian. She was a former President of the Alumni.  Margaret was also a faithful and dedicated member of the Middleton/Blake Labor Day Crew. Upon graduating, she married Ronnie O’Neal Sr. and to this union 2 sons were born. 


     Margaret retired from Maas Brothers as an office assistant then went on to work for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. She developed a dedication for helping others, guiding her to a fulfilling career in home healthcare, where she touched the lives of countless individuals with her kindness and compassion. She loved singing in the choir, communing with her fellow “Tigers” and serving as a faithful member of Re-Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Margaret was a champion spades and domino player.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie Sr. and Fair Belle Williams; brothers, David and Willie Williams. 


  Ms. O'Neal leaves to cherish memories with her sons, Ronnie “Pee Wee” Jr and Gayland (Kim); 11 grandchildren including, Ronnie O’Neal, III, Cynthia Tolbert, Asia Berry, Ronnie Shaquille O’Neal, Trinity O’Neal, Jonnae Trent, Quantity Richardson, Mikeisha Williams, Marquis Mosley, Reginald, Derica, Quinyisha, Kareem, Quinton Thompson, Shayla and Keysha; a host of great-grandchildren; brothers, Bennie Jr and Johnnie B. (Joyce); aunts, Estella Keith and Beverly “Cookie” Nieves; 3 nieces, 6 nephews and a host of cousins; sister-in-law, Alva Cail-Williams; godmother, Dorothy Thomas; special friends, Pat Cooper, George Cooper and Maxine Toombs; several godchildren including, Oliver, Dwight, Cedric, Joseph, Earl, Calvin and Curtis; friends, coworkers and clients.   There will be a viewing on Friday July 18, 2025, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida.
