Mulford Gentry

To Gene's family. I am so sorry to be so late with this note. I don't live in Lawrence anymore, and don't check often enough in the journal world. Gene and his entire family, please accept my sympathy. Gene was ALWAYS a great friend and cousin.Every time we encountered one another, usually at Dillon's, we always had to visit for a minute or two. Time gets away from us all.

I was Gene's neighbor on Elm Street in Lawrence 1946-1952. My name was Linda Davison and his sister Sue was my best friend. Gene would play cowboys with us and we would play cops and robbers, racing our scooters and tricycles up and down the sidewalk. Gene was always kind to all of us silly girls. He was my first "crush" when I was 7 years old. My family moved away and I always missed all the Gentry kids, they were the true friends of my childhood. I have such fond memories of all the Gentry...

With heart felt Condolences, I worked with Gene many , many years ago at the Dillons on Massachusetts st. He was a true gentleman.
