Mac was there when I was a young one, in the 1960's at Delaware Park, at my first Games. I was honored to have performed at events he hosted, and he persistently encouraged folks such as me to pursue our dreams while being ever mindful of our roots. A dear man with always a twinkle in his eye.

MacLean MacLeod's presiding over the Colonial Highland Gathering has always been a memorable event. My family and friends have attended The Games since 1978. To hear him open the ceremonies during the massed bands was something that we looked forward to. His efforts to maintain the quality of The Games at Fairhill are greatly appreciated by all of us. His daughter, Catriona, was always gracious and most helpful with ticket sales over the years. MacLean will certainly be missed.
