Pastor Mac and Carol will always be present in my life and my family's lives. His accomplishments were many. I would tell him God gave everyone 24 hours in a day . . . but God gave Pastor Mac 72+hours in a day. How else could he complete so many tasks in a day, week or years. I am deeply saddened by Pastor Mac's passing. I first met Mac in the 1990s at a Holocaust Education Conference in Seattle, Washington. My colleague and I got lost on the campus of the University of Seattle on a dark, rainy evening after attending an art exhibit on campus. Pastor Mac rescued us. He then became a friend of the Holocaust Studies program at Drew University, making important presentations about responses of the Lutheran Church post-Holocaust. I am grateful for the opportunity...
