Muriel Smirnoff Friedman

My childhood is filled with fond Friedman memories. Lobdell Drive was a wonderful place to grow up and your mother, Muriel was a big part of that. I have such vivid remembrances of both your mother and mine. May they both rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear of Muriel's passing. So sorry I was unable to attend the service. I taught with Muriel at Grasmere School. It was a unique place to teach and your mother was a vital part of that school. I have fond memories of her. She had such a joy for teaching and a love of children.
I shared many happy times with both of your parents. Your Dad always supplied the teacher's room with treats from the cheese shop. Muriel would always regale us with the visits from the neighborhood...

My condolences to Muriel's family. I remember her beautiful singing voice. I sang in the Rodeph Sholom choir with her. A wonderful woman, talented and strong in her beliefs. I picture her singing in heaven.
