Not sure what to say?

Muriel did wonderful service to Norwalk students over many years. I had the pleasure of often interacting with her when I served as State representative and later as Mayor when we often met at the Holiday lunch served by the BOE's Central Kitchen (back then on Main Avenue). I'm most thankful that Muriel was part of the interview team along with Principal Marie Iannazi that hired my spouse Bette Bono as a science teacher at Ponus Middle School! Thank you, Muriel for so many good outcomes!

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

Muriel was a wonderful person, always ready to be a helping hand. While I was getting my degrees and I needed some information, I reached out to her. I knew her from Temple Shalom, and she was a colleague of Robert, my husband. She was so bright, so knowledgeable, a walking encyclopaedia, a mentor to many, a friend to all, a true mensch. Her legacy will go on with her children and all whose life she touched. G-d bless her.

Mrs. Gerhart was a wonderful Person teacher and always there for her students, may she rest in peace thank you for all you did for us. Sincerely, Linda-Ann Licari. Student for Ben Franklin and Brien McMahon.

Muriel was a guiding light in my career teaching science at west rocks middle school for 26 years. I will miss her but my memories of her counsel to me will never be forgotten. Godspeed. Gary Klar, grade 7 science West Rocks

My condolences to Muriel's family. Muriel was one of a kind, You could talk to her about anything. She loved to talk and so did I, therefore, it was always enjoyable to be in her company, whether it was in my classroom , at an informal gathering, anything. She was a good listener, a giver of helpful advice, an advocate for various causes, or just entertaining tidbits about any and everything. Just a wonderful person. She will be missed by all.
