Muriel was born September 24, 1925 in Chicago to Walter and Pauline Higgins. She passed away peacefully September 18, 2017 in Barrington. Muriel is survived by her children; Jeffrey Girard, Paul (Christine T.) Girard, and David (Ellen) Girard; and grandchildren, Rebecca (Kegan), Heather, Alexander, Katherine, Molly, William, and Samuel. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip "Roger", brother, Walter, and her parents. Burial will be held privately. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, September 30, 2017 at The Garlands in Barrington, Performing Arts Center, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington. Dear Children and Grandchildren:
Your mother and I were good friends both in Naples and Arlington Hts. She was a wonderful person. She had me over to
Bear's Paw for all of the member guests and I reciprocated and had her over to Wyndemere. We had great times together.
We wish we could be there but we are too old to come to Barrington. Our sympathy goes to all of you.
