Not sure what to say?

I found this book at a used bookstore in Eastern Canada. This slip of paper fell out of the pages this evening, so naturally I Googled the name to see what message the universe was giving me. This obituary - of someone who sounds like a marvelous woman - was at the top of the list. I'm currently reading the book during a work trip in the Canadian Arctic, while my family (husband and two girls) are at our newly purchased home on Carribean island. Muriel Lewis' sounds like a person who would...

Our large family stayed at Muriels many times. She was always kind and welcoming to us. We have many memories of beach walks, picking blackberries and her wonderful home with all the treasures. You are missed, Muriel!

Single Memorial Tree

I met Muriel through a mutual friend, Jane Dolbeer. A group of us gals spent several weekends at her house. We would fix a giant meal and play a game called "what does Muriel NOT have?" I won once as she didn´t have a square cake plate! I´ll be darned if she didn´t go to an estate sale the very next day and come home with one! We laughed and laughed and laughed! I am humbled to have known her and experienced what a grand human she was! Rest In Peace Muriel. You were one of a kind!

My thoughts are with all of you. Muriel was such a great spirit, and kind person.

Muriel was a kind and loving human being who spirit blessed all the people who knew her sweet heart. Yes, I do remember her pancakes and her loving personality. The world needs many more like her! Don

Most wonderful woman I ever did meet. If we all could be more Muriel this world would sing.

What a shock to see that Muriel had passed. She was such a part of our history. Our Portland to Coast team stayed at her home many years. My husband and I were married at her home in 1997. She was a friend to everyone, best cook, my favorite is the coconut cake! She loved to have fun and we all did many times. It was April who introduced our team to her and the rest is history. It is hard to lose our mother's no matter when they pass. But know she is in your hearts and she loved all of her...

April and Carol, my thoughts are with you both. Love Bonnie
