So funny how things happen. I was only thinking of Muriel the other day; she just popped into my head and then today I received this legacy reminder. Rest in peace Muriel and I always remembered how we both shared our enjoyment of the colder weather over the hot humid stuff :) Hard to believe its been so long ago that we kidded about things like that over coffee. I wish your family happy memories of you - that's what keeps our loved ones alive in our hearts forever.

I was sad to hear of Muriel's death. I had the good fortune of working with Muriel at United Counties. I was a young kid and she was a tremendous role model to me. I remember the silliest things, her narrow feet but always great shoes! Her witty nicknames for people that bugged us. Great pride in going a good job. Her tremendous love for and pride of her daughters. All these years later I still have a beautiful decanter she gave me as a wedding present. I could never part with it.

A "one of a kind" lady for sure! Worked with Muriel and long after she left the Y, the memories of her humor, wisdom and kindness linger on. I still think of her when I see or smell the fragrance "Emeraude" by Coty. That was her signature fragrance in the office.
