Not sure what to say?

Whe I was young, I used to spend time on Chestnut Hill at my older brother, Woody Brown´s, home and met Boots on numerous occasions. When I was in HS, Woody and his wife, Bev, gave me this string on beads made by Boots for Christmas. 60+ years later, I wear these often as they have always been a favorite reminder of those carefree " hippie" days. Not sure if she ever made the jewelry commercially or just for fun with leftover bits of clay.

Boots Walker's most lasting legacy to us is her pottery ~ Here is a small gallery of some pieces by her.

Boots in Bramber, Nova Scotia

A great and loving spirit has left the world. For me, she was mentor, teacher, best of friends for well over fifty years. For others, human and otherwise, she always gave love and comfort and a good meal. Hers was probably one of the last generations to act on the strength of their convictions and she always stood up for the people and things she loved. She often spoke truth to power and never backed down when she knew she was right. The world will be a smaller place without her.
