Not sure what to say?

Mr. Murray, he was a special man. My Dad, Pete Ruiz worked for and with the Callahans for years. Murray always looked out for my Dad and they became friends more than employer and employee. Murray always had a kind word to say no matter what kind of day he was having. Rhonda, Marla, Mike, you all have a very big set of shoes to stand tall in but God will guide you and give you the grace and peace you need. Thinking of you all during this time.

He had several biological kids. But when you spoke to him it was like talking to your dad. He was always available to listen and slow to speak - I think he was just trying to get the best word's out. I liked when he would tell me what chicken should I buy - not a rooster lol they will get you in trouble ( all the time) God rest his soul. He is definitely missed.

I was an employee of Callahan's General Store and I sat beside Murray at the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. I was so impressed that Murray knew absolutely everyone who called in to donate. He not only knew the caller but who they were related to and how they fit into the community. I think it is safe to say that Murray loved people.

Mr. Murray was a great friend to my late brother "Mike" Ransom Caldcleugh. That friendship continued with wife Doris Caldcleugh & his family. They treasured this friendship. Mr Murray was also a generous supporter if the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation Gala's that our family was involved with.

Hello to the family from Lisa Pello-Strieker, old neighbor from Greentree. Especially you Marla, but to your siblings as well,

Love to you,
miss ya Marla
May God lift you and...

Murray was married to my Mother, but we had known the Callahan family for many years and had lived on the ranch when I was a kid. He is one of the most respected and well liked people that I have ever known. He could and did talk to anyone and he remembered them and their names. He was a very loving father and very proud of his children and what they had accomplished. He loved his grandkids and shared a lot about all of his family over the years with us. He made Mother's last years happy...
