Not sure what to say?

No doubt, the most celebrated and influential prof ever. I will have my 40 year old copy of Applied Petroleum Reservoir Engineering preserved.

Murray Hawkins was without question the best instructor that i have ever had. Not only was he a great instructor he was a special person. The things that he taught me as a student and the example that he set for me as a man have stayed with me to this day.

Warren and family--
For many LSU petroleum engineers, as I was privileged to be 40 years ago, he was our professional "hero". More than respected, he was revered for his powerful intellect, his command of the discipline, and his ease of instruction. I will forever be grateful for the impact he had on my life.

I will always remember him as the very best instructor I ever had, anywhere, any time in my life. I also am lucky to remember him as a friend, as a co-worker on an oil rig, as a pretty good roughneck, as always a fair man.
My condolences to all who will miss him.

Mrs. Hawkins, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Ya'll had a wonderful life together.

We are deeply sorry to hear about the passing of such a great man. May you find peace and comfort in the days ahead. With Love.
