Not sure what to say?

My mother, Thelma Goldman, stayed in touch with Murray. I am sorry that I did not. Memory of Murray: When I was 16, Murrray and his mother, Aunt Helen, took me to Disney Land with Dorrie and Maxine. Although we have lost touch since Thelma died, I was sad to read of Murray's passing and that I waited too long to reach out.

While I did not have Mr. Schneider as a teacher, I remember him as friendly, engaged with students, and with a big smile.

Our family was saddened to hear of his passing. He was such a kind man and such a champion of local news and of our Glen Park neighborhood. We were in contact with him for many years because our son helped deliver the Glen Park newspaper. It was a real treat to be interviewed by him, to share a coffee, and to hear about his passion for the Glen Park owls, pickle ball, and so many other topics. I hope to one day learn pickle ball and will do so thinking of Murray. Our condolences to his family.

While Murray and I worked in the Jefferson Union High School District at the same time, I as a substitute teacher didn't get to know him. I did recently, however, as a fellow senior hour swimmer at Balboa Park pool. He was a great locker room conversationalist and a good swimming-time friend. It was great to share anecdotes from his high school and my City College of San Francisco teaching days. Minor surgery kept me out of the pool for a while and when I came back, he was gone. ...

I was so saddened to hear of Mr. Schneider´s passing. I was fortunate to have him as a teacher at Serramonte High School as both a freshman and junior. His classes were always challenging and thought provoking and definitely encouraged my lifelong love of history. He was also such a nice person!

I was a student at Serramonte High School (Class of '72). Mr. Schneider was kind, very smart, and engaging. RIP Mr. Schneider.

Mr Schneider was one of my favourite teachers. I was in both his AP History and Civics classes, and he always made these subjects interesting. His enthusiasm was infectious, and I always remember what a kind man he was with such a genuine smile, we always knew he cared about his students and wanted us to do our best. Condolences to Mr Schneider´s family and friends, he will be very missed.

Murray was a student of mine, and a very good one, at San Francisco State. We became friends and remained so after he graduated, occasionally lunching. He was kind enough to have me lecture at Jefferson High School, where he was principal and where he placed a woodcut I had done of Thomas Jefferson. In our many friendly conversations he always showed a healthy interest in the world about us and, of course, his family. He was a very good man, and I'll miss his ever pleasant demeanor.
