Edward F. Carter Funeral Home Obituary

My Luu, of Briarcliff Manor, NY, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2015 in Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City, holding her husband's hand. She was 41 years old and fearlessly battled Amyloidosis, a rare blood disorder. My worked as a Program Director and led market...

Not sure what to say?

I didn't know My in school, but had the privilege to meet her at a number of alumni-related activity functions, of which she was always among the planners. I was always struck by her lovely enthusiasm and how people seemed to gravitate toward her, as she made everyone feel so welcome. It is saddening to think of her absence among us now, but I'm inspired to try and carry forward her positive energy. Thank you, My.

My, dear My, the world (and so many of our lives) is diminished by your passing. You blessed my life beyond words by giving this woman the most amazing of 'surrogate daughters.' You were a shining example of what 'could be.'

May My's soul rest in peace, what a loss! Matthew Piette and I are deeply sorry for your loss, Dave, and offer our heartfelt condolences to you and My's immediate family. The world has lost an amazing human being, one who's inspired everyone whose lives she touched.

Blessings,

Luisa Piette

This is absolutely stunning. At the time of My's passing I was intubated at Ben Taub hospital in Houston. I awoke on October 11, 2015, discharged this past Firday. My name is Donald Jeffrey Large. I was the 1993 valedictorian of MacArthur High School. My was a great friend. I'm sure she was guiding to me live along with hearing the clarion call of my mother and two grandmothers that I would live. Please check my FB page for the post I did just yesterday. May G-d bless My, and all her...

I am so sorry to hear this tragic news. I was at Yale with My, and last saw her in 2011 at our 15th class reunion. She was a dynamic, loving person who demonstrated for everyone to see how to live as joyfully as possible - through caring, loving connections with other people. We would all do well to learn from her example and keep her spirit in us.

I was deeply saddened to hear that My had passed. Her energy was limitless and she harnessed that energy to make a positive impact whenever I saw her. Condolences to her family and to all who connected with her--she will be sorely missed.

I'm always proud of you. Every second. Every hour. Every day. I love you.

My Luu was a remarkable young woman, it was a privilege to work with her as a student at MacArthur High School. My prayers and condolences to the family.

Our condolences to your family. It was an honor to have known you. You are an inspiration to us all.
