Myles J. Garrison, 64, of Saylorsburg, formerly of Pen Argyl, passed away, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.  He was the husband of Renee’ A. (Coffin) Garrison, they celebrated 39 years of marriage, December 9, 2023. 


Born in Jersey City, NJ, September 27, 1959, he was the son of the late Edwin F. and Lucille B. (Bender) Garrison. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Malia L. Garrison and brother, Mark F. Garrison.


Myles was a graduate of Immaculate High School, Somerville, NJ, and LaSalle College with a degree in Electrical Engineering. 


He honorably served his country in the US Navy during the First Gulf War, and was a self-employed as a Maintenance and Reliability Professional. 


He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish, Pen Argyl, a member of the Wind Gap American Legion, where he served has Chaplain, he was Past President of the Pen Argyl Green and White Youth Association, where he also announced football games, he was a member of the Somerset Valley Players, Hillsbourgh Township, NJ, and was a PIAA football official and baseball umpire. 


In addition to his wife, Renee’, he is survived by two daughters, Rebecca A. Williams of South Bend, IN, and Heather M. McDonald and her husband Stephen of Bangor, four sons, Christopher L. Garrison and his wife Miranda of Bangor and Carl L. Garrison of Bangor, along with Tina M Garrison of Lehighton, Craig L. Garrison and his wife Nicole of Pen Argyl and Andrew M. Garrison and his wife Vanessa of Wind Gap, 19 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a brother, Marshall E. Garrison of Georgia. 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 300 W. Babbitt Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be viewing hours, Tuesday evening, August 13, 2024, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl, and Wednesday beginning at 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM at the church.  Interment with Military Honors will be at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.
