King, Mrya "Jean", age 82, a resident of Columbiana, AL, passed away on December 27, 2012. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Bolton Funeral Home, Columbiana with Rev. Betsy King officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to funeral at the funeral home.
Mrs. King is preceded in death by her husband, J.B. King Jr. She was a long time member of the Columbiana and Shelby communities. Mrs. King retired at the age of 70 after 35 years of employment, with J.G. Alston DMD. She is survived by her children, Ben (Debra) King, Johnny (Elizabeth) King and Betsy King; 6 grandchildren, Brain and Brent Popwell, Julie King Berens, Heidi Britnell Burns, David King and McKenzie Britnell and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Fay Porter and other family and friends. This sweet lady has been an integral part of my life, going all the way back to my growing up in Shelby, and continuing. I am saddened to learn of her death and I wish to offer my very sincere sympathy to Betsy, Ben, Johnny, her sister Fay and all other of her family members.

Betsy. Am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing but we know she is in a better place & is not suffering. She was always such a pleasant person when you would go into the dentist office. Always had a smile on her face. My prayers are with you & your family .
