Myra Mae Manfrina

Myra was indeed an angel. Her encyclopedic knowledge of Lompoc history and wonderful disposition made her the go-to person for any type of question you could conjure up. So many times, I contacted Myra to ask questions about Floradale and the Burpee seed company where my grandfather William Thomas Hoag had worked for 50 years. My mother Dora Thompson , who lived with me in Lompoc was a friend of Myra. I knew her as well as a wonderful lady. I offer my condolences to the Manfrina family.

I just finished reading Myra's obituary. What an exciting life she has had and what a tremendous contribution she has made to Lompoc. She is irreplaceable; there will never be another one like her with her historical background and love of our City. Bob and Barry. Jan and Debbie, you must be very proud of her!

I didn't have the honor of knowing Myra, but was well acquainted with her family. I offer my sincere condolences to the family and enjoyed hearing about Myra over the years. Wish I could have known her.

It has been a true pleasure working with Myra over the years at the Historical Society. She always made me laugh because she knew more about my family (the Dutra's) than I did. She was a wonderful and remarkable lady and I will miss her very much.

Myra was our "go to" person for family and Lompoc history at the Historical Society. Just a mention of a family name would result in her recitation of genealogy for that particular branch of the family.
