Not sure what to say?

Myra was indeed an angel. Her encyclopedic knowledge of Lompoc history and wonderful disposition made her the go-to person for any type of question you could conjure up. So many times, I contacted Myra to ask questions about Floradale and the Burpee seed company where my grandfather William Thomas Hoag had worked for 50 years. My father, James Richmond Hoag was born at Floradale and also worked for Burpee seeds for 50 years. Walt and Myra were like family to our family and Myra was the final...

My mother Dora Thompson , who lived with me in Lompoc was a friend of Myra. I knew her as well as a wonderful lady. I offer my condolences to the Manfrina family.

My mother, Dora Thompson, who lived with me in Lompoc many years ago was a friend of Myra, and I knew her as well. Now back in my native Ohio, I offer my condolences to the Manfrina family. Myra was a wonderful person and i am saddened to hear of her passing. Al Thompson

I just finished reading Myra's obituary. What an exciting life she has had and what a tremendous contribution she has made to Lompoc. She is irreplaceable; there will never be another one like her with her historical background and love of our City. Bob and Barry. Jan and Debbie, you must be very proud of her!

I didn't have the honor of knowing Myra, but was well acquainted with her family. I offer my sincere condolences to the family and enjoyed hearing about Myra over the years. Wish I could have known her.
Her history of Lompoc will always be cherished. Thank you Mrs Myra Manfrina!

"Bob, I know that Myra was well loved and respected. She had great character and a big heart.
Our most heartfelt sympathy is with you and your family in your time of grieving."

It has been a true pleasure working with Myra over the years at the Historical Society. She always made me laugh because she knew more about my family (the Dutra's) than I did. She was a wonderful and remarkable lady and I will miss her very much.

I will be thinking of Barry and Bob and their families in the days ahead and wishing them peace.

The Lompoc Valley has lost it's best friend with the passing of Myra Huyck Manfrina. Everyone at the Lompoc Valley Historical Society, past and present, will miss her vast knowledge, wisdom, sassy sense of humor and that beautiful smile. Thank you Myra for your many years of love and dedicated research. Your legacy will live on!

Myra was our "go to" person for family and Lompoc history at the Historical Society. Just a mention of a family name would result in her recitation of genealogy for that particular branch of the family. For many years we, at the Historical Society, said "what will we do when Myra goes?" Luckily, her research, rembrances and past columns and articles live on. However, we will no longer have the pleasure of seeing her ever present smile nor experiencing her kindness and willingness to share...
