Dr. Weiger was a wonderful professor and was instrumental in my decision to teach. She will be very much missed and Kean University and its students were very fortunate that she was part of our institution.

I have very fond memories of Dr. Weiger. I'll always remember that no matter how dire a situation appeared, she always found the humor in it.

If you were having a bad day, talking with Dr. Weiger was a necessary pleasure. No matter what was going on around her, she always had something witty to say. I miss her dearly.

Myra was among the kindest, intelligent, and shrewdest people I have been privileged to work with. She was my mentor when I began to teach at Kean University. She was supportive and I felt she sincerely cared about me. Her office door was always open and she encouraged me to stop by anytime, which I did to seek her sage advice. If I have succeeded in any way, it is due, in large measure, to Dr. Weiger's professional and caring guidance. I fondly think about her often. I regret that I didn't...

An exceptional kind and humanistic educator with a special talent to educate others. Dr. Weiger hired me to teach undergraduate and graduate classes at Kean University throughout over 20 years. Myra was always available to listen and provide positive and appropriate experiences from her many years of education. She will be loved and missed!

A gentle person who was very caring. I will miss the times we observed each other's birthdays, going to lunch and sharing in special events. She was always fair in her relationships with her faculty and I enjoyed working with her. I will miss my friend.

Myra was an extraordinary person: clever, kind, generous, appreciative and totally dedicated to the students. She combined a great smile and kindness with a strong professional conviction and a keen understanding of human behavior. This is why she understood the students and extended a hand to so many, quietly. I can hear her laughing in her office or in the hallways of Willis Hall. She was a happy person. Myra was so good at what she did because of her love for students, colleagues...

Dr. Myra Weiger was my colleague at Kean University for some 40 years, but she became an admired friend when I started supervising student teachers i the '90's. Working with her and receiving her guidance as an involved and committed department chairperson was always an enriching professional experience. Myra would give hours of her time discussing, researching and advocating for the vitally important student teaching experience. Dr. Weiger was always hopeful with a great sense of humor....

Dr. Weiger was a fascinating lady. She always had time to stop and have a conversation with you.
One of the things I admired most about her was her ability to take life as it came. No matter what was happening, she always looked on the bright side and chuckled about whatever was going on.
That takes faith and courage, and she had plenty of both.
