Not sure what to say?

Mr. Wellons my sympathy and prayers go out to you and your family. I had the pleasure of hearing Myrna speak at an Ethics Conference when I attended NCSU. She was an inspiration and a legend in the NC Community! God Bless you and your son:-) He will be proud of her legacy as he grows into a young man:-)

Shawn, I just heard about your wife's death - I am so sorry. She sounds like a wonderful person. My condolences to you and your son.

Shawn, I was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely death of your beautiful wife. I could tell by the article that she was a special young lady and was not surprised that you chose such an energetic wife. I know you feel blessed that you have Christopher and I also know that God will bring you all through the years without Myrna and your mother. God bless you both.

A Saint among us, she will be missed. My family is sad to hear the news, she will be regarded as a close friend to us. She will be honored for her dedication to humanity and life.

Shawn, words can't express our deepest sorrow in hearing this news. Our prayers are with you, Christopher and your extended family.

Myrna worked with me in Wake County on Lilly's Community Conversation series. She was tireless and wonderful. My heart goes out to her loved ones.

Although I did not know Myrna personally, I believe our paths must have crossed a few times when I was in the field of social work. I appreciate her fight for the rights of the mentally ill and send my sincere sympathy to her family and friends. Amy P, Raleigh NC

Even though I only had minimal interactions with Myrna, her loss is extremely hard for me to bare. She was always full of life, energy and happiness. Her visions of an increasingly just world and her desire to remain dedicated to our profession was simply inspirational. Each time we talked I was deeply moved by her passion.

I only knew of Myrna through our collective work with NASW-NC, but she will forever remain in my heart and mind as a true example of what every human being...

My deepest sympathy go out to Shawn, baby Christopher, and family. May God hold you in His hand and bring you peace and comfort through your loss. Occasionally in life, you meet someone with remarkable intellectual gifts; occasionally in life, you meet someone with remarkable compassion and action toward the betterment of humankind. Myrna was an exceptional, dynamite collision of both those things. We have lost a rare treasure, a fine example and a true friend. Jan Kimbrell Stallings - Delta...
