Myron Patrick Ancona Sr, age "forever" 55, of Slidell, La passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Beloved husband of Kelly M. Ancona. Father of Myron P. Ancona Jr. Stepfather of Amanda Schackai, Amy "My Boo" Herzog (Justin), Allison Horn (Jordan) and Andrea "My Boy" Schackai. Grandfather of Kayleigh Gilbert, Baileigh Horn, Presley Gilbert, Lily "Best Friend" Horn, Mason Herzog, Brantley Kerr, Cali Horn, and Madison Herzog. Son of Fay Ancona and of the late Michael Ancona. Brother of Michael "MJ" Ancona (Kelley). Godfather of Alexis Ancona. Grandson of the late Peter and Antoinette "Toni" Ancona and Irwin and Theresa Villarrubia. Also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt.
Myron was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell. He was a 1984 graduate of John Ehret High School. Myron was the owner and proprietor of Van Village Motorsports of Slidell. He was a wonderful man that loved his wife, family, and dog Harleigh with every bit of his heart. Harleigh was waiting for Myron for their joyous reunion and happy kisses to cross The Rainbow Bridge and never to be parted again. Myron had a passion for golf as he played every Sunday with his dear friend Dave, then came home and watched golf after his golf nap. Every Friday night he would go smoke cigars in “The Pass” with his buddies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was so fortunate to have his grandchildren so close that he will leave them with so many happy memories. Myron and Myron Jr. had such a special bond with their own sense of humor that will leave Myron Jr. with a lifetime of memories. He was the best son a mother could ask for and more. He was loved by everyone who knew him personally and professionally. He had an ever lasting smile, a laugh that was contagious, and a twinkle in his eyes that will never be forgotten. He was one of the good ones, gone way too soon that was loved too much to put into words.

Condolences to the Ancona family, i just found out about this days ago...i knew myron dealing with him at Van Village and grew very appreciative of him both professionally and personally. He was a very humble and giving person, so giving in fact that i had to put the brakes on him once telling him "myron u can´t stay in business being too overly generous " The world needs more upstanding people like him as his parents raised him well!!!. Again condolences to the family!!!

Sorry to see that Myron passed away. As adults, Mike, Myron, and my paths didn't cross very often, but was always enjoyable. I have some great memories from when we were youngsters, meeting at our great-grandmother's house with the rest of our extended family on those Sunday gatherings.

I was so bummed to hear about his passing. For many years Van Village has been my go-to place for my vehicle mods. He personally took me home and picked me up a couple of times to drop off and pick up my vehicles. We talked personal stuff and always had a good laugh telling stories. That’s part of what brought me back again and again. He made me feel that i was more than just a paying customer and it truly made a difference. I was looking forward to seeing him this week when I dropped off my...
