Myron Albert "Mike" Pessin

In my first visit to the museum in Huntsville, along with a college friend who had grown up in Orlando and like me was a lifelong space geek, Mike Pessin heard our chat and chose to charm us with his insights and jokes as we circled the room under that Saturn 5. He told us that he liked to be the docent for techies who could appreciate his techiness. We stayed past closing time and Mike showed us the way out for employees and volunteers. I am so glad he chose us.

One of the best Secret Space Hero´s of all time! The Space Community at large has lost another Great Man, a legend of his time, a mentor and role model to SO many. Sincere gratitude for all the lessons learned- we will continue to share your experiences throughout the industry for many years to come. Deepest condolences to those closest to Myron in this time of grief and remembrance. Know in your hearts that legacy will continue to inspire generations of engineers!

Mike and I worked on many projects together at MSFC. I always looked forward to his many new jokes when we met often as NASA Emeritus Docents at the US Space and Rocket Center. He will be missed by many, myself included.
