Myron passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. Myron was a resident of Vineland, New Jersey at the time of his passing. He was a 1954 graduate of Woodstown High School. Mr. VanMeter served as a Yeoman in the U.S.Navy for over four years. He served during the Korean War and saw action during the conflict at the Suez Canal. He was married to Nancy. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday evening October 30th at 6 oâclock at the First Baptist Church of Elmer 209 Broad Street in Elmer NJ. Visitation and fellowship will follow the memorial service.The interment will take place privately at the Cumberland County Veteranâs Cemetery in Hopewell Township. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be sent to: Springs of Life Camp Inc. 13138 West Buckshutem Rd. Millville NJ 08332 a ministry close to Myronâs heart that has an outreach to the youth.
I knew Myron and Nancy when I was quite young. He was a good christian man who loved his wife and family. He and Nancy were always a devoted couple. A life well lived in his faith. I was part of the family for a few years.
