Not sure what to say?

Sadly the Covid pandemic has created such a distraction since my last entry. What we have been blessed with was the presence of a body to share love and life with. Fortunately for some longer than others and when that body leaves us...the void is insurmountable then, reminding ourselves, that our loved one is in the loving arms of God helps us to accept God's will and through our faith we know we will meet again. Hold your loved ones, tell them how much you love them. Choose your words...

I have fond memories of Miss Mann. She was the supervisor of the home management house at Tuskegee Institute, where we young ladies stayed for 6 weeks, learning how to run a household. Besides being a nice place to live, it was a great experience. I enjoyed trying to get Miss Mann to lighten up and not be so serious. She wasn't having it. I really liked her. We stayed in touch for a few years. To her family, although it's been some years, I wanted to express my condolences for your loss. Mrs....

Life sure is strange. Mrs. Myrtle was my godmother and I thought about her today while talking to my wife and got excited to look her up only sadly to find out she passed 3 years ago. Mrs. Myrtle was so kind to me as a child and I never met her face-to-face after she saw me in the hospital as a baby although we corresponded my mail. I remember the stories my mom used to tell me how Mrs. Myrtle saw me in the nursery as a baby and asked my mother if she could be my godmother. I remember how...

Three short years now..Three long years now. Funny how it seems it can feel both ways. I have been going through old photographs and was fortunate to come upon two with Myrtle and baby Arnold at my home celebrating my daughter Shawna's 2nd birthday. I was pleased to deliver those photos to Arnold today and we shared some good memories, past and recent. Myrtle always seemed to have a permanent smile on her face which felt like a warm hug. Fond memories of a wonderful lady.

I have admired Myrtle's outlook to be present in the here and now, remembering the past with joy and appreciation and hopeful of the future but the here and now is what mattered the most. This inspiring trait coinsides with my own beliefs which encourages me to press on through lifes challenges, appreciate our gifts and to share our gifts to help or teach others. Her presence is missed, her spirit is felt all around us. We can rest in comfort knowing Myrtle's joy in Heaven is a peaceful...

Dr. Benjamin and Family,

Melissa, Gloria and NiKo are so very sorry for your loss. We didn't know Myrtle very well but from what we did know, she was a wonderful woman. She was a fighter to the end and that is an inspiration. We wish you all the best this holiday season and always.

With Love,
The Kusia Family

To Dr. Arnold Benjamin and family,
I'm sorry for your loss, may the Lord give you strength, comfort and peace.
